اثرات ناشی از توسعه گردشگری پزشکی بر رفاه جامعه

رهبران جامعه و مقامات گردشگری در لاس وگاس، ترویج و توسعه گردشگری پزشکی را برای بهبود وضعیت اقتصادی و کیفیت زندگی ساکنان پیشنهاد داده‌اند. مطالعه حاضر از نظریه تبادل اجتماعی با نظریه سرریز به عنوان چارچوب مفهومی برای بررسی عوامل عملکرد اقتصادی گردشگری پزشکی، رضایت کلی جامعه، رضایت از سلامت و نگرش نسبت به گردشگری پزشکی استفاده می‌کند. این عوامل بر ادراکات ساکنین از تاثیر گردشگری پزشکی بر رفاه جامعه تاثیر می‌گذارد که به نوبه خود تمایل به پرداخت مالیات‌های بالاتر و حمایت از توسعه گردشگری پزشکی را تحت‌تاثیر قرار می‌دهد. این یافته‌ها نشان داد که بیشتر عملکرد اقتصادی گردشگری پزشکی، تاثیر مثبت گردشگری پزشکی بر رفاه اجتماعی درک شده‌است. به طور مشابه، نگرش نسبت به گردشگری پزشکی و رضایت کلی جامعه به طور مثبت تاثیر مثبت گردشگری پزشکی بر رفاه جامعه را تحت‌تاثیر قرار می‌دهد. در نهایت، رفاه اجتماعی به طور مثبت بر تمایل ساکنان برای پرداخت مالیات بالاتر و حمایت از توسعه گردشگری پزشکی تاثیر می‌گذارد.

Community leaders and tourism authorities in Las Vegas have suggested the promotion and development of medical tourism to improve the economy and quality of life for residents. The present study uses social exchange theory with spillover theory as the conceptual framework to examine factors of economic performance of medical tourism, overall community satisfaction, health care satisfaction and attitudes toward medical tourism; these factors influence on residents’ perceptions of medical tourism’s impact on community wellbeing, which in turn affects willingness to pay higher taxes and support for medical tourism development. The findings revealed that the greater the economic performance of medical tourism, the more positive the impact of medical tourism to community wellbeing was perceived.
